Incorporating North Star Skills Into Our Workflows
We want to make it as easy as possible for our teachers to capture data on each student’s progression towards the mastery of the north star skills, and to be able to report on that progress to identify where to focus next. We also know that the North Star Skills are one of many factors that will contribute to the long-term success of our students in college, career, and life.
To be integrated with existing capabilities that support data-driven instruction and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for students. Soon our districts will be able to easily see where a student needs support in terms of both academics and their progress towards North Star Skills, so they can identify which activities will best support student learning. Below is a brief overview of the capabilies that became available Spring ‘23.
With this in mind, we have partnered with the Colorado Rural Education Collaborative to take advantage of the Student-Centered Reporting Solution, which will make it possible for us to see a complete picture of a student that includes not only their North Star Skills, but also their well being, assessment results, career interests, industry certifications, GPA, attendance, and other key pieces of information.
New Capabilities Coming Fall ‘23-’24 For Soft Skills!
The data captured with the above tool will soon be integrated with the existing Student Centered Reporting Solution capabilities that support data-driven instruction and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for students. Our educators will be able to see exactly how students are doing in terms of both academics and progress towards their North Star Skills! Below is a short overview of the capabilities that were released this Spring with the support of Colorado State’s RISE Grant and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.
